The module is equipped with 1 HIPERFACE encoder interface. This module can be used to evaluate encoders installed in motors from other manufacturers as well as encoders for external axes (encoders that sample any machine movement).
The EL7342 EtherCAT Terminal enables direct operation of two DC motors. It is galvanically isolated from the E-bus. The speed or position is specified by the automation device via a 16 bit value. Connection of an incremental encoder enables a simple servo axis to be realized.
